Privacy

The short version: this site collects nothing about you, because the tools never send your inputs anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing you enter into either tool. The Bardal Index and BardalGPT run entirely in your browser. The case data and the statistical model are downloaded to your device, and every calculation happens there. The age, length of service, occupation and jurisdiction you enter are never transmitted to this site, never logged, and never stored.

This is a property of how the tools are built, not a promise about how we handle data we receive — the data never reaches us in the first place.

Server logs

Like any website, the web server records standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address making the request, the page requested, the time, and the browser’s user-agent string. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

The tools themselves set no cookies. WordPress, which serves the site, sets cookies only for logged-in administrators. Ordinary visitors are not given cookies.

Third parties

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Links to case law point to CanLII, which operates its own site under its own privacy policy.
